RénoPlex is the City of Montreal’s program, co-funded by the Quebec government, for 1- to 5-unit buildings. It subsidizes renovation and flood protection, up to 50% of the actual cost of eligible work. The maximum is $20,000 for a single-family home, and up to $30,000 for a 2- to 5-unit building in the flood stream.
Golden rule: wait for confirmation that your application is accepted before starting work, or you may lose the grant.
